Ecotherapy - Jennie Quinn Psychotherapy

Ecotherapy

Ecotherapy

Does an afternoon pulling out weeds relieve your anxiety? You may find a blustery beach walk revigorates you when you feel down. Eco therapy might suit you if feel a sense of oneness with nature.

Ecotherapy is an approach to therapy that incorporates a deeper meaning of the word holistic, meaning it’s based on the belief that people have a strong connection to their environment and the earth..

Our exposure to nature can have enormous benefits for our mental well-being in areas of stress, depression, anxiety, and grief. Failing to nurture this relationship can negatively affect our mental well-being.

What can you expect from ecotherapy?
During our sessions, we will explore how you interact with nature by going outside or bringing in materials from the natural world.

I am an Ecotherapy Network Ireland member and believe in nature’s healing power. I recharge my batteries in nature to create an uplifting environment for healing sessions.

Find out how eco therapy can benefit you.

I Won't Judge

I have personal experience with perinatal loss, so I bring a sense of understanding and acceptance. If you have experienced grief or loss, you don’t have to dress up grief for me.  I won’t judge; I’ll understand.

I Will Give You Clarity

We will first look at why you are coming to me, and what you need from your sessions. Then we’ll make a plan and check in after six weeks. Knowing you’re going in the right direction will give you clarity.

Simply Be

You may think psychotherapy means sitting on a sofa and talking, but you can be yourself with me. You can be quiet, sit beside me, or simply be in nature. Whatever you need, I will sit beside you and witness your pain.

Own Your Healing

I will give you tools to recharge your energy so you can own your healing. We will analyse activities to help you restore, so you can derive strength from them and start to heal..

See Me in Person or Online

I’m based at the Health Hub, Main Street in Loughrea, County Galway.
